Bypasses with bypass valves are used in conjunction with manifold blocks to redirect the coolant flow to the return manifold in case the flow rate through the manifold loops decreases below the set value. This allows the hydraulic characteristics of the system to be maintained regardless of the position of the manifold loop controls (manual, thermostatic valves, etc.) and protects the pump from operating on a „closed gate“.
