A bush is a type of threaded fitting. It is a nut or sleeve that has an outside thread for a larger diameter connection and an inside thread for a smaller diameter connection.
Purpose:
– Joining pipes of different diameters.
– Replacement of damaged threads by drilling. A larger hole is drilled in the part, a new thread is cut and a socket is screwed in.
